My breast pump seems to be broken. I'm not getting much suction at all. I had to turn it all the way up and it still took me forever to pump 5 oz this morning (normally I get 7-9 oz in a short amount of time). The pump is old and I've been using it a lot for seven months straight. I can't really afford a new one. I have an Avent Isis that I was actually just about to sell on FSOT for $20, but now I guess I will keep it in case my electric pump really dies. I called my insurance company and they will only cover a breast pump if the baby has a cleft palate or for multiple births (LAME!) Between this and buying Lennon a new carseat, our government stimulus money is as good as gone. :(

I'm going to try getting new tubing, valves, and membranes for my pump and see if that helps. Otherwise I have a friend who said I can use her pump. I only need to use it two days per week for the next 5 months or so (hopefully can stop pumping when Lennon's a year old and switch him to whole milk). If I comes down to that I will offer my friend some money for the use of her pump. How much would be fair? I don't know. I bought my current pump from a different friend for $25 (awesome deal!)
